Brett Brown and Sam Hinkie look to revive basketball in Philadelphia
by Kurt GiesAugust 12, 2013
Brett Brown will have a guaranteed four year deal to help a young and developing (from the ashes) organization. The team's outlook for the next few years isn't good, to the point of bracing for "tank-mode" has Twitter begging for the first round pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. This would guarantee the Sixers the 2014 draft's coveted pick, Kansas's Andrew Wiggins. The 6'8" small forward has been sought as the next NBA superstar and could make a great addition to 2013 first round pick's Michael Carter Williams and Nerlens Noel.

Although it took four months for the Sixers to finally name their head coach, I don't think there will be any complaints about the hiring of Brett Brown. Let's just hope the fan base has enough patience to endure the tanking years and give Brett Brown a chance to develop this young team and maybe even make Philadelphia a four sports town again, since A.I left town.
